Kurzbeschreibung des Experiments
Cyberattacks increase year by year. To defend against these threats, organizations can utilize cyber threat intelligence (CTI). Simply put, CTI contains essential insights into cybersecurity threats and substantially benefits organizations. As the purchase of CTI from vendors is expensive, organizations can share their CTI with each other. However, few organizations share CTI. To solve this issue, inventives can be integrated into a CTI sharing platform.
To identify meaningful incentives for CTI sharing, we conduct expert interviews with organizations from various sectors and sizes. After participants consent, we record the audio. This enables us to transcribe the interviews precisely. Subsequently, we delete the audio recordings. To minimize the collection of personal information, we only ask about general demographics. Quotes from the interviews are anonymized, and we allow participants to review and correct their citations. Participants can stop participating and withdraw their consent anytime during and after the interview.
Based on the interview findings, we implement the identified incentives into a CTI sharing platform. This prototype will be published to the open-source community.
