Kurzbeschreibung des Experiments
The experiment consists of three parts.
Part 1: Subjects are matched in pairs and we measure each subject's SVO (SVO1) and beliefs (B1). Subjects do not receive feedback about their partners' choices from part 1.
Part 2: At the beginning of part 2, subjects are matched in new pairs. Part 2 consists of a real effort task (typing a randomly generated sequence of letters). Incentives are determined by a treatment-specific incentive scheme (indiv. piece rate, tournament with and without feedback, lottery with and without feedback, team performance with and without feedback).
Part 3: Part 3 is similar to part 1. We measure SVO (SVO2) and beliefs (B2). The only difference is that in part 3, subjects are matched with their partners from part 2, and this is common knowledge.
