The third semiannual lecture "Towards a Unifying Theory for Economic Behavior" will be on Tuesday, June 27 2023, 17:00-18:00 CEST. Prof. Dr. Ernst Fehr will take a contemplative position where he draws upon his extensive experience. Ernst Fehr is a behavioral and experimental economist. He is Professor of Microeconomics and Experimental Economic Research at the University of Zürich, Switzerland. His internationally outstanding research covers the areas of the evolution of human cooperation and sociality, reciprocity and bounded rationality. Erstes Treffen des Frauennetzwerkes bei der Jahrestagung

Auf der diesjährigen Jahrestagung fand zum ersten Mal ein Frauennetzwerktreffen statt, wie es auf vielen Konferenzen inzwischen Standard ist. Dabei diente das erste Treffen vor allem dem Vernetzen und dem Austausch. Das Format soll auf den kommenden Jahrestagungen verstetigt werden.

We will start our webinar-series of semiannual lectures, with a presentation by Cristina Bicchieri on Tuesday, June 28, 17:00-18:00 CET. The title of Cristina’s presentation is: It's not a lie if the norm does not apply: Conditional norm following with strategic beliefs. Cristina will highlight the potential of a dual-self model to serve as a unifying theory. Rosemarie Nagel will act as a discussant and raise some opening questions. Afterwards we will open the discussion to all. Cristina is Professor of Social Thought and Comparative Ethics at the University of Pennsylvania and reputable for her research on philosophy, game theory and psychology with a particular focus on the nature and evolution of social norms (https://philosophy.sas.upenn.edu/people/cristina-bicchieri).
